Carolina Dogs

In addition to our horse passion, we also have a passion for Carolina Dogs! At Full Circle Carolina Dogs, we are working to promote and preserve America's first dogs! 

Descended from the dogs left behind by settlers and Indians, CDs were re-discovered in the 1970s by Dr. Brisbin while he was doing research at a nuclear preserve. He came across packs of similar looking feral dogs which he then, based on DNA samples, realized were not European in origin. He began his own kennel, Swamp Fox, to further research these dogs eventually leading to their recognition as a breed by the United Kennel Club and Foundation Stock Service in the American Kennel Club. 

Courtney met Dr. Brisbin at his kennel in early 2021, fell in love with one of his puppies, and well, the rest is history! That pup came home with Courtney and is now known as Black Beauty.  She has excelled in the conformation ring and a variety of sports with 40 titles before the age of 3! 

A second Carolina Dog was welcomed into the pack in July 2021. Bee is a wild caught CD from Georgia.  She's the "busy bee" of the farm and is hot on Beauty's heels in the conformation and performance rings. So far, Bee loves to chase the "plastic bunny" in lure events the most!

All of our dogs are family raised, health and temperament tested, and proven in the ring! When you work with us you'll be getting a healthy dog ready to be your best companion and/or your next all-around performance partner.  Plus, you'll get a lifetime of support from us once you're a part of our doggie family!
